September Goals

This month, I am setting monthly goals to help me stay accountable. I'm hoping this will help me take control of my ever growing to-do list instead of constantly putting stuff off as I tend to do. It's time to kick my nasty habit of procrastinating and take control of my life.

I know September (and the next few months) will be super crazy so I tried to keep the list pretty simple.

One  ||  No Sodas

For the month of September, it will only be water and a single cup of coffee in the morning. Drinking soda leaves me feeling exhausted and with brain fog. If I want to be my best self, then it's time to kick the habits hindering me from doing that.

Two  ||  Do 21 Day Fix

I bought this workout a few months ago and I love it, but I haven't picked it up in over a month. It's time to get back to it. I'm less concerned with following the plan and more concerned with doing the workouts for at least 21 days this month.

Three   ||   Make a 101 in 1001 list.

The concept behind this is that you make a list of 101 items that you would like to complete in 1001 days, which is about 2.75 years. It's kind of a compromise between a set of resolutions and a bucket list.  I want to get the list started and maybe cross an item or two off.

Four   ||   Spend more quality time with Cole

We haven't been doing a very good job of spending quality time together lately and it's something we want to work on. We don't see each other much during the week because our schedules keep us working opposite hours. When we are together, we want to make sure the time counts and means something. Too often, we find ourselves watching TV while eating dinner instead of actually conversing with each other. It's time to put technology aside and spend real time together.

Five   ||   Meal Plan on Sundays

If I had to choose a chore that I liked the least, grocery shopping would definitely be a top contender.  I hate having to go in the grocery store yet I stop there several times throughout the week. This month, I want to do weekly meal plans so I am only going grocery shopping once during the week. Not only will I be doing a chore that I don't like less, but I will also be saving time and stress.

Six   ||   No Spend September

This one is simple, I want to save as much money as possible and pay off a chunk of my credit card.

Seven   ||   Post an update of our house

We moved into our house three years ago and have slowly been making changes to it. I took before photos and would like to do some posts to compare the before to how it looks now.

Well, I think seven goals for this month is a good starting point. At the end of the month, I'll share how well I did on keeping these goals.

Wish me luck!
